Nicole De Vera, MSW, LGSW
Nicole is a clinical trainee at AMAR Wellness, and has been practicing under the supervision of Amy Carey, LICSW for 2 years. She received a BSW from Winona State University in 2018 and an MSW from University of Denver in 2020. Prior to providing therapy services, Nicole advocated for children, families, and individuals struggling with intergenerational trauma and substance use issues. Nicole has been trained in and practices Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as Prolonged Exposure for PTSD. She is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships and is curious about mind and body strategies to achieve awareness. There is something important and meaningful that happens in therapy. Nicole honors this time with attentiveness, engagement, and warmth.
Shaylee Walsh, MSW, LGSW
Shaylee is a clinical trainee at AMAR Wellness. She earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from Winona State University. She has training and experience in Somatic Interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Techniques, and Experiential Therapies (art, music, wilderness, movement, etc.). Shaylee enjoys working with adolescent and adult clients. She meets individuals where they are at in developing a therapeutic relationship within the healing process. She approaches therapy from a trauma-informed lens, providing a safe environment on the therapeutic journey. Shaylee enjoys incorporating art and creativity into sessions and focusing on skills that resonate with each individual. Shaylee takes a gentle and collaborative approach to connecting with individuals in therapy. She feels grateful to be able to share these experiences with individuals within the healing process.

Amy Carey, MSW, LICSW
Amy earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St Katherine. Before beginning work as a psychotherapist, she worked for Rochester Public Schools and Olmsted County Adult Mental Health Services, and other social service organizations in the St. Cloud, MN area. She has training and experience utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques.
Arlen Carey, Ph.D., LICSW
Arlen Carey earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. He has practiced clinical social work in Florida, Louisiana, and Maine prior to moving to Minnesota. He is Director of the Trauma-Informed Clinical Master of Social Work Program at Winona State University. He has training and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Non-Directive Play Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, and Neurotherapy. He specializes in using a holistic approach to help people heal from trauma.
Bridget Skyhawk, MSW, LICSW
Bridget Skyhawk earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England. She has training and experience using Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Neurotherapy. She enjoys incorporating creative arts and mindful movement into therapy. With a holistic trauma-focused approach, Bridget seeks to provide a safe and validating environment to heal the sequela of trauma and empower survivors to live their lives to the fullest extent.
