Who We Are


AMAR Wellness is committed to an integrative approach to your emotional and mental health and well-being.  We are committed to empowering our clients through helping them learn how to better regulate their brain, minds, and behavior.

Amy Carey (MSW, LICSW) and Arlen Carey (PhD, LICSW) are licensed clinical social workers who have over twenty-five combined years of practice experience.  Bridget Skyhawk (MSW, LGSW) is a licensed graduate social worker with over seven years of experience working in the mental health field.  Nanci Klocke MA, LPCC) has more than 7 years of experience working in mental health.  Each of us enjoys working with children and adolescents as well as adults of all ages.

Amy Carey earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St Katherine.  Before beginning work as a psychotherapist, she worked for Rochester Public Schools and Olmsted County Adult Mental Health Services, and other social service organizations in the St. Cloud, MN area.  She has training and experience utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques.

Arlen Carey earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida.  He has practiced clinical social work in Florida, Louisiana, and Maine prior to moving to Minnesota.  He is Director of the Trauma-Informed Clinical Master of Social Work Program at Winona State University.  He has training and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Non-Directive Play Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, and Neurotherapy.  He specializes in using a holistic approach to help people heal from trauma.

Bridget Skyhawk earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England.  She has training and experience using Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Neurotherapy.  She enjoys incorporating creative arts and mindful movement into therapy.  With a holistic trauma-focused approach, Bridget seeks to provide a safe and validating environment to heal the sequela of trauma and empower survivors to live their lives to the fullest extent.

Athnasia (Nanci) Klocke earned her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. Nanci has experience in working with adults and families who need support around their mental health needs. Prior to doing psychotherapy, Nanci supported individuals with disabilities in the community. Nanci has training and experience around Mindfulness Techniques, Prolonged Exposure, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Nanci uses a person-centered approach to meet each person where they are at their time of need.
